Blizzard '05 - No snazzy photos of the ponies (we weren't able to get to the barn due to the snow) but these should give a sense of the snows at our house.  Teddy is the lab mix we recently adopted. He's from the south and we weren't sure if he had ever seen snow before. He likes it, but only up to a point, then he much prefers the couch. LOL!

Reba from June 2004, when I had finally gotten her to understand that she could WALK with a cart and not race, like she used to at the track

Just arrived and getting ready at the
Nashoba Valley Hunt Club's
Pace Event in Groton, MA
May-25-2003.

4HDaughter's Friend, 4HDaughter, George, 4HMom.  [It's about time we got one of 4HMom in here! :)]

Tan Heath Hunter Pace May-18-2003.
Left to right: Java on Java, 4HDaughter on George and 4HDaughter's Friend leading the way.

What this photo doesn't tell you is that the bridge decking is sheet steel and it's sitting on steel girder.  All of this is over a brook with reasonably noisy water burbling underneath.
"Clank, Clank, Clank, Burble, Clank, Clank, Burble"
The fact that all three are on the bridge and heading for the start is a very good sign.

Three Mass SPHO members and their STBs, ready to "Set the Pace" at Tan Heath - 4-27-03 "Don't worry George, we don't have to ride with them."
George saying, "What do you mean Standardbreds can't jump? No one told ME that!"

Our first Turkey Trot… BSTRA at Myles Standish Park 11-25-02.   “Here Turkey, Turkey…Here, turkey, turkey…”

“ Bringing home the bacon,  I mean, Turkey!   Now, if only George could cook!!!”

George (show name Irish Red) and 4HDaughter over the reds.
George and 4HDaughter, looking through the jumps.
The very first Hunter Pace in '99, now this is living!
When George met Leah.

Yes this is "Kristy's Leah" (of Java & Kristy fame).

This is a photo from the Haskins show on Aug-04-02 where I finally got the shutter speed right and they aren't too blurry as they are speeding through the schooling jumpers classes. 4Hdaughter and George placed as Reserve Champions for the division. I liked the sun going through the flowers on the jump too. It was a very good day but also very hot. You can tell by the dark sweat circles around George's eyes. Didn't slow him down though!
Beach Buddies crossing the Bridge to Duxbury Beach (Aug-9-02).
Sea horses coming to land (Aug-9-02).
(Sep-7-2002)  We had a great time yesterday with CalysGal and friends on the flats. 4HDaughter REALLY likes the first one [the one on the left below] as it shows George clearly in front, at least if you know who is who. ;-)

Snowy meeting of George and Reba (Dec, 2003)
High leg action - must have been something he said...?
