A little introduction from BensBud:  JohnnysMum is a special member of our EquineSite BB Photo Gallery.  In mid-January, 2003, a bushfire in Canberra, Australia (the nation's capital) blew out of control into what is called a firestorm.  It destroyed upwards of 530 homes and countless other properties and facilities.  The losses included many horses and the complete destruction of a number of horse facilities in the greater Canberra area, plus a large chunk of an RSPCA facility in Canberra.  I was moved by many of the stories that I read on an Australian Equine Chat (www.CyberHorse.com) and posted a couple of "feelers" there about how we, here in the US, might help.  JohnnysMum has been instrumental in helping us get in touch with horse-people in Canberra so that we can offer our assistance.

This was Johnny's float (trailer, as the Americans call it).  Unfortunately, he doesn't have it anymore.  Shame - he really liked his float and would load like a dream.
Sally - my younger one who is 14 - with Johnny.
He is one scruffy horse right now (Feb, 2003) - what do you think?

This is the little Welsh B gelding, Boolara Rhys.  He had just won "Supreme Ridden Show Hunter" for Hayley at a Pre-Royal Show near where we live.  It was taken in August, 2001.
