After about 2 hours, I finally put the dogs up and shooed him into the acres and acres of woods behind us.  I had a feeling that maybe some of the Mexicans that have moved in around the area may have bought him to slaughter him.  My fertile imagination assumed that he escaped with his head still attached and he deserves to live!  So now he lives in the woods (I hope!), and might become a legend in his own right!  You know, something spiritual and all....
