On Dec5  2004,  the gang from Sunrise Stables in Lunenburg, MA had their 7th Annual Pony Express Christmas ride.  Christmas cards and candy canes are delivered by horseback to friends and neighbors up on Flat Hill.  This year the following six horses and seven riders participated.
Barn owner and Pony Express Ride originator, Renee Trakimas and her Thoroughbred mare Shiloh.
Renee's daughter Melissa, with Renee's Morgan gelding Cinder. Cinder and Renee clocked over 200 miles in pleasure trail rides this year.
Grace and Beth Ramsey with their new horse, Blue, a draft cross.
Blue wins the "Liberace" award for the most baubles, beads, bells and bows!  (he was such a good boy for his first Pony Express ride)
Donna Howe and her Appendix QH, Poco.
Fiona Laing and her Appendix QH, Jordan. She had thought she'd dress him in the traditional red and green, but the group decided royal purple was his true color....doesn't he look great?!
Last, but far from least, Pam Warren and her Arab Phoenix.  Her words at the end of the ride summed up the afternoon, "Merry Christmas everyone, from Pam and 'Phe Phe'!"

This is Larissa, Renee's friend from down the road, and her STDB/Arab mare Chachi.
That's me in the background on my TB mare Cara…every time I think she's bulking up, someone takes a picture and I see that she still looks like a greyhound! In foreground is Renee's daughter Melissa, on her QH mare Jess.
Carol and Cheyenne, who trailer over from Townsend to ride with us.
